Child protection is an integrated priority across SOPSAR's work, addressing violence, abuse, exploitation, discrimination and vulnerability.

Vulnerable children & orphans

Identifying and supporting children who have lost caregivers or live in households under severe strain.

Support and referral for children living or working on the streets.

Awareness and community action to keep children out of hazardous work.

Protection from violence & abuse

Community awareness, reporting pathways and referral to responsible authorities.

Our safeguarding commitment

  • Children's safety and dignity come before communications, fundraising or reporting.
  • No identifiable information about a child is published without appropriate consent.
  • Photography and media follow informed consent and can be withdrawn at any time.
  • Concerns are referred to the responsible authorities and child protection services.
  • Everyone working with or on behalf of SOPSAR is expected to uphold these standards.
