Privacy, safeguarding and terms

SOPSAR works with children, vulnerable communities and disaster-affected populations. These commitments govern how information about them is handled.

Privacy Policy

SOPSAR collects personal information only when you choose to provide it, for example through the contact form. Information is used to respond to your enquiry and is not sold or shared for marketing purposes. You may request correction or deletion of your information by contacting the organization.

Child Safeguarding Statement

SOPSAR is committed to the safety, dignity and wellbeing of children. Identifiable information, images or stories about children are not published without appropriate informed consent from a parent or guardian, and consent may be withdrawn at any time. Safeguarding concerns are referred to the responsible authorities.

Data Protection Statement

Personal data is handled in line with Kenyan data protection requirements. Data is kept only as long as necessary, access is limited to authorised personnel, and reasonable technical and organizational measures are applied to protect it.

Photography & Media Consent Policy

Photographs and recordings of community members are taken only with informed consent, with an explanation of how the material will be used. Images that portray people without dignity are not used. Consent can be withdrawn and material removed on request.
